Fact Vs. Fiction - Let's Get Real

Is there really such a thing as ghost dogs?

If it’s true that dogs have souls, then it only makes sense that there could be ghost dogs. If intelligent hauntings are the work of human souls, then it should be no different for dog souls, or any other animal with a soul for that matter.

But how do we know if dogs have souls? Some studies conducted in the field of spiritual psychology say that dogs do indeed have souls. Humans have believed for centuries that our dogs would travel with us to the afterlife. Even Rameses III, Pharaoh of Egypt in 1198 BC, believed his favorite dog would travel with him to the afterlife.

People believe that when a dog bonds to a human, their soul attaches to the human soul after death. Even people who have claimed to have “near death” experiences have reported seeing their beloved pet dog that had already passed.

Paranormal investigators often report hearing a dog barking when there is no dog around to be seen. Some investigators even claim to have captured the image of a dog ghost on camera. Of course, it would be hard to prove an intelligent haunting by a dog, as there would be no real way to effectively prove that the dog was really interacting with the investigator or their questions.

Let’s face it, it would be pretty difficult to get a ghost dog to roll over or play fetch. It makes more sense that if a dog is indeed haunting a building, it’s most likely attributable to a residual haunt, where the energy of the dog, either through sound or movement, is simply replaying itself over and over again.

If you believe that the haunted building you’re investigating is being occupied by a human spirit who was so attached to the building that they never wanted to leave, do some research and find out if they had a beloved family dog. You just may capture the spirit of the dog attached to its owner.
