Croatian Lessons for Seniors and Beginners
Croatian is a language that is grouped together with the Slavic branch of Indo-European languages which are spoken in most of eastern Europe, much of the Balkans, and parts of central Europe. Croatian is part of the South Slavic branch, with its two subgroups Bosnian-Croatian-Montenegrin-Serbian-Slovene and Bulgarian-Macedonian. Altogether, there are approximately 6 million Croatian speakers around the world with about 5 million living in Croatia. There is a sizeable group of U.S. citizens with Croatian ancestry numbering at around 1 million.

Croatian happens to be one of the more difficult languages for native English speakers to learn. The grammar rules are complex and can be challenging if you are unfamiliar with Slavic languages. If you have some education with the Russian language, you should be able to pick up Croatian easier.
