Everyone in the community can get involved in your Super Sundae Fundraiser. The concept is simple. Your task is to bring everyone together to make one huge ice cream sundae. When it’s complete, you generate revenue by asking for donations where people can get a cup or bowl of your ice cream creation for $3 to $5, depending on how big your cups are. If you really want to go big-time (and we mean big), you can try and set a new ice cream sundae record for the Guinness Book of World Records!
Hold the event in a busy area of town so that people can see what’s going on. Check with your city for proper permits. Tell your local media about your event and effort to build the largest sundae your town has ever seen. Ask your local grocery stores to donate the ice cream and toppings in return for signage at the event. You may even be able to hold the event in the parking lot of a participating store. If you plan to do this as a school fundraiser, you can hold the event in the school parking lot or gym. Make sure you have insurance coverage.
Be sure to create flyers and posters to hang up around the neighborhood and don’t forget to post your event details on social media. This fundraising event could work well for just about any type of group, club or organization. If you plan to have this event during the summer, just pay attention to the temperatures. You don’t want your giant sundae turning into ice cream soup.
