What’s more popular among kids these days than making slime? Watching other kids make slime. In fact, making slime has been so popular that even the giant glue brand “Elmer’s” experienced a shortage of product (glue is one of the main ingredients in slime). So why not take advantage of this popular trend while it’s still going on and make a fundraiser out of it? Your challenge is to create the world’s biggest batch of slime, or at least the biggest batch of slime your town or state has ever seen.
To do this fundraiser, you will need to attract a large group of participants and have a very large container to hold and mix the slime in. You will also need plenty of school glue, baking soda, contact lens solution and food coloring. You can also add in glitter or even buy glow-in-the-dark glue to make your slime creation even more fun and interesting. Follow these instructions on making slime from Target and adjust the ingredients according to how much slime you plan to make.
Charge a participation fee for anyone who wants to get in on the giant slime creation. Everyone who participates gets to take home their own small batch of slime. You can even set up a booth and sell small batches to kids that did not participate, once your creation is finished.
You’ll want to start promoting this fundraiser at least 1-month in advance. Be sure to promote heavily on all your social media channels. Tell your local radio and television stations so they can help with publicity. Also, create posters and flyers that you can place throughout the community. For even more revenue, get a local business to sponsor the event.
