Make a note of it.

  • Most signs can be personalized with names and other information.

  • Most sign rentals except for birth announcement signs are usually rented for 24 hour periods. Some companies will extend the rental period for an extra fee. Birth announcement signs are usually rented for a few days or longer.

  • Some yard sign set up and delivery companies will rent signs outside of their delivery area for an added fee. Be sure to check with them if you don’t see your area listed on their website.

  • Most yard signs are placed in grassy yard areas. Be sure to have the area mowed prior to delivery and installation.

  • Although the majority of outdoor signs are weather resistant and sturdy, it’s important to not let young children play with them or around them.

  • Most yard sign delivery companies will position the signs in an area of the yard that you tell them to. If you don’t provide any direction, they will usually try and set up the sign in an area that allows for the best photo opportunity.

  • Don’t wait too long to book your rental. Deliveries can limited and rentals are sometimes booked two weeks out.

  • It is recommended to check local ordinances before you decide to put up a sign. These local ordinances may include some restrictions on how long you may keep a sign or if you need a permit.
